A WALKING club is inviting budding ramblers on three upcoming routes through picturesque countryside.
Bolton CHA Rambling Club’s next trip will take the group to Grasmere in the Lake District but places on the coach are still available to non-members.
The trip will be split into three walks of varying difficulty with the first taking the group through Ambleside, Loughrigg Fell, Silver How and Blearigg before travelling back to Grasmere.
This is a 10.5-mile mountain walk with 2685 feet of ascent.
Next is a nine-mile walk through rough terrain taking in Loughrigg Tarn and Rydale Cave.
Finally, the ‘coffin trail’, is a five to six mile walk of moderate difficulty through Red Bank Wood and around Grasmere Water.
Anyone interested in getting involved in the walks will need to meet the rambling club at 8.30am on Saturday at Bolton Interchange.
