Oldham shipped a late two-goal lead and then lost an epic penalty shoot-out as they exited the Lancashire FA Senior Cup at Barrow.
The visitors were 3-1 up with 15 minutes to go thanks to Jonny Smith, an own goal and Desire Segbe Azankpo.
But a strong Latics side were then pegged back with Jack Hindle and Morgan Penfold on target, Hindle having scored the game’s opening goal.
After the game finished 3-3 in normal time, Barrow progressed on penalties 12-11, Jamie Stott missing and Oliver Greaves converting to send the Bluebirds through.
