A THIEF who burgled a town centre discount store has been jailed for 12 weeks.
At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Daniel Glyn Jones, aged 36, of Cressingham Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to burgling Poundland in Bolton, stealing £800 worth of goods including cosmetics and scratch cards on September 9.
The court heard that Jones, who has a previous criminal record, had been drinking and gone equipped to break into the shop. He caused significant damage.
As well as the prison sentence, Jones was ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
