There have been a number of abusive comments from members of the public about graffiti in Bolton.

A local resident has confirmed that the graffitti has been there for over a month.

Extinction Rebellion Bolton was only set up a few weeks ago. We didn't graffiti anywhere.

It isn't something we encourage and we have no control over what other people choose to do.

I would ask those getting so worked up about it to attend our public meetings and channel that passion into a much bigger issue, the extinction of our planet.

Anyone who is being abusive has been reported and will be blocked.
