AFTER 30 years in nursing and six years at the heart of Bolton's healthcare, a hospital leader will now become the head of an NHS trust.
Trish Armstrong-Child, the director of nursing, midwifery and allied health professions at Bolton NHS Foundation, will become chief executive of Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust.
Professor Donna Hall, Chair, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said: “We are thrilled that Trish has been given this opportunity but incredibly sorry to see her leave. In the short time I have been Chair of this organisation, I have never failed to be impressed by Trish’s passion and commitment to her role.
"After three decades in nursing, and six years at this trust, she brings her enthusiasm for the field and her dedication to ensuring that patients receive high quality care to work with her every single day. She takes with her our heartfelt thanks and best wishes for her new role."
Trish was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bolton for her Outstanding Contribution to Health Care and an MBE for services to nursing.
