BOLTON actress Diane Morgan is set to star in a new comedy to screen on Sky this week.
Produced by comedian Sharon Horgan’s production company Merman, Frayed, which was co-commissioned with ABC Australia, is described as “a bittersweet and raucously funny comedy set in the glitz of the late ‘80s”.
Australian comedian Sarah Kendall stars as Simone/Sammy, a wealthy housewife whose past life in Australia is nothing like the narrative she’s told London friends and now has to confront her lies when she rturns down under.
Morgan, 43, will appear alongside Peep Show’s Robert Webb in the six-part series which airs for six episodes on Sky One from September 26.
Sky’s Head of Comedy Jon Mountague, said: “We can all relate in some way to complex family drama, which is at the heart of this ingeniously written comedy. Sarah is an exceptional lead and I’m excited to add Frayed to Sky’s line-up of original British comedy in 2019.”
