A DRIVER who swerved in front of traffic police was found to be without insurance and a full driving license.

A man driving a Mercedes was stopped by police after he pulled out in front of them across a give way line.

On closer inspection, police found that the unsupervised driver only had a provisional license and had ventured out onto the road with no insurance.

The car was seized on the spot in Grafton Street and the driver was reported for the offences.

GMP Traffic tweeted: "Driver of the Mercedes didn't see the give way line when he pulled in front of the traffic car. #ME14 stopped him on Grafton St Bolton and found the driver to be an unsupervised prov licence holder. no ins held either + it's off to the compound.
