POLICE have warned of "rogue traders" thought to be targetting elderly homeowners.
Officers appealed to residents in Breightmet after a man was confronted by someone who knocked on their door and claimed to be offering landscaping services.
Rogue traders often try to scam people with fake work or extremely high prices.
In a post on the GMP Facebook North page, an officer said: "Please be aware around the Breightmet and Harwood area.
"They were driving a white flat bed truck wearing hi-vis clothing."
Anyone who spots suspicious activity should call 101.
