GRAFFITI has been sprayed on a brick wall behind a convenience store in an act of criminal damage.
Police patrols spotted the graffiti at the rear of Bargain Booze in Bury Road, Breightmet.
Officers have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
Greater Manchester Police's Bolton North team posted on Twitter: "Do you know who has sprayed graffiti behind Bargain Booze in Bury Road, Breightmet?
"If so, send us a message or ring 0161 856 5761.
"We will ensure the council gets this cleaned up as soon as possible."
Graffiti is an offence of criminal damage and can be reported to police via 101. If prosecuted, the offender could face a fine or even imprisonment.
Under the Criminal Damage Act 1971, anyone caught doing graffiti can face a prison sentence of up to 10 years or fined if the damage costs more than £5,000.
Local authorities are usually responsible for removing graffiti from things like public buildings, monuments, benches and bins.
