A WARNING has been issued after police received reports about bogus callers.
Cops were called to a property in Captains Clough Road.
It is understood a male was knocking on doors yesterday asking for £300 for "unnecessary scaffolding".
Officers have urged residents to contact them about any suspicious behaviour.
Greater Manchester Police's Bolton North team tweeted about the incident: "Bogus callers have today been reported around Captains Clough Road. Male asking for £300 for unnecessary scaffolding.
"Please report any suspicious behaviour and report via phone or online."
Call police on 101.
