THE next edition of a monthly comedy night series promises to entertain visitors to Nelson Square pub and microbrewery Northern Monkey.

Sing it out!

DO you have a new baby and want to meet mums at a similar life stage?

Five music sessions for new mums with little ones aged up to 12 months are taking place in Heaton.

The weekly ‘Sing it out! Mama’ meet-ups have been funded by the National Lottery to bring members of the community together for an informal chat, hot drink and cake, singing, as well as rock painting.

The events at The Coffee Shop at Heaton, in New Hall Lane, cost £2 per session. The next event takes place tomorrow, between 10am and 12noon.

Candles to be lit in memorial garden

PARENTS who have experienced bereavement after the loss of their baby are invited to attend a candlelit event at the Royal Bolton Hospital’s baby memorial garden.

Bolton Miscarriage Support Group has once again organised the ‘Wave of Light’ gathering to bring people together to mark Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

Organisers said that anyone who has experienced baby loss is welcome to attend on Thursday and join people all over the world in lighting a candle to remember their loved ones.

Hot drinks and snacks as well as resources will be available on the night. Visitors are invited to arrive at the memorial garden in Redgate Way, Farnworth, from 6.30pm. Candles will be lit at 7pm.

The global Wave of Light marks the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week, on October 15.
