THE Chase's Jenny Ryan received a standing ovation following her debut performance on The X Factor: Celebrity.
Viewers and the panel of celebrity judges alike were stunned by her incredible singing voice.
Jenny, who grew up in Horwich, captivated the audience with her deep tone as she sang a cover of Queen's 'Somebody To Love' for her first audition on the show.
Following the performance, she has received overwhelming praise on social media, with individuals describing her as "gifted", "a powerhouse" and "spectacular".
One fan tweeted: "Wow, what a voice. She smashed it. Absolutely brilliant."
Another posted: "Wow, what a set of pipes. Amazing."
And yet another: "I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of this, Jenny Ryan, for me, stole the show tonight, absolutely incredible."
At the end of her solo, ITV viewers saw the expressions of shock and amazement on the faces of music industry professionals and judges as the cameras panned around judge Simon Cowell's Malibu mansion's garden.
Jenny, aged 37, is one of the Chasers from ITV's The Chase, with her knowledge also seeing her compete on The Weakest Link, University Challenge and Mastermind. She initially was hired to write the questions for The Chase, then later became one of the Chasers in 2015, after fellow Chaser, Anne Hagerty recommended her.
