A DRIVER was arrested in the night after his cocaine stash was discovered by police.

A male driver with several bags of cocaine was found by police after traffic officers stopped the car in Hacken Lane.

The Ford C Max car was toting false plates, but when police pulled the vehicle over they made a drug discovery.

The driver, who only held a provisional licence and had no insurance, failed a drug test. Nine small bags of cocaine were also found in his possession.

The driver was arrested for all of the offences and the car seized by police.

Greater Manchester Traffic Police said: "#ME58 stopped this Ford C Max on Hacken Lane Bolton. Found to be on false plates. The driver was a provisional licence holder with no insurance.

"He failed a drug test and was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine. Arrested for all offences and the car seized. #fatal5"
