PLANS have been issued to turn upstairs accommodation of a grade II listed pub into three flats.
A change-of-use planning application has been submitted to convert the first floor accommodation of The Boars Head on Market Place in Leigh into flats.
The Market Street property, which has a large beer garden, has been used as a pub since the late 19th century.
The proposals follow a previous application for the same scheme which was approved in 2014 but subsequently lapsed.

A design and access statement states: "In summary, this development proposal provides an opportunity to more effectively re-use the first floor of a building.
"The existing overly large public house living accommodation would be divided into two additional self-contained two bed apartments and a smaller living quarters flat serving the public house.
"This is a highly effective way of creating two additional apartments within a sustainable location without impact on the wider environment or the grade II listed building in which the apartments will be housed."
A listed building consent application has also been sent to Wigan Council.
A decision is set to be made on the plans on December 10.
