A WOMAN has been taken to hospital and a key road closed after a crash outside a train station.
Bolton Road (A6053) has been shut off outside Moses Gate Railway Station since around 11.30am after three vehicles were involved in a crash.
A spokesman for the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), confirmed that one woman was injured in the incident.
They said: "We were called to a collision involving three vehicles. There was one patient and we sent one ambulance to the scene."
The injured woman was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital. The severity of her injuries is currently unknown.
In a tweet, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) described the situation as a "police incident".
