The Mayor of Bolton will be the VIP guest of honour for an upcoming gala concert at Victoria Hall.

Cllr Hilary Fairclough will be attending the Eagley Band and Smithills Community's 'Disney and The Greatest Showman', where she and visitors can expect to be treated to a melody of hits.

The concert, which will feature 200 singers and brass players led my musical director Chris Wormald, will be taking place on Saturday.

It has been organised by Bolton Lever Rotary Club to raise funds for the Royal National Institute for the Blind's Talking Book Service.

Conservative Fairclough, who was appointed as Mayor in May, has served as a councillor for nearly 20 years.

As the VIP of the event, she can expect a five-star welcome as well as centre circle seats right next to the action.

Songs set to be performed include The Greatest Showman's hit songs 'This Is Me', 'A Million Dreams' and 'Never Enough'.

Disney lovers can expect to hear music from animated classics such as 'The Jungle Book', 'Toy Story', 'Beauty and The Beast' and 'Mary Poppins'.
