A ROAD which has been closed for two weeks will reopen today following the completion of resurfacing works.

Carlton Road, in Heaton, has been closed since Monday May 14.

It has been resurfaced as part of a £12m project by Highways.

Roadworks will also come to an end in a number of other streets in the borough today.

Temporary traffic lights have been in effect in Mason Street, Horwich, since Thursday May 17.

Electricity North West are set to complete their work in the street today.

Electric works will also be completed in Chorley Street. Dewhurst Utilities have been installing a utility service since Monday and temporary traffic lights have been causing traffic disruption between Bark Street and St Helena Street while the work was carried out.
