For many years I have been known to say, ' I really hope I live long enough to see the regeneration of Bolton Town Centre'.

Having seen today's plans for the Trinity Quarter I have changed my mind!

How any group of architects can claim to have 'designed' such a boring group of rectangular blocks, I fail to understand.

Isn't this the chance to build something visually pleasing and stimulating - buildings which will give pleasure for decades and enhance the town for future generations?

We make a big mistake if we do not make the most of this opportunity.
