PLANS to build 150 houses at a Westhoughton farm are moving ahead as the developer asks to start on site sooner.

Northstone, the company behind the Roscoe's Farm development, was granted planning permission by the council last month.

It has now applied to amend a condition attached to the planning consent which required the developer to complete surface water drainage works before construction commences.

The firm, which is part of Peel L&P, wants to bring the condition in line with the "standard approach".
