Bonfire Night is upon us and despite many events happening over the weekend, some have been saved for tonight.

With skies looking clear there is no better time to wrap up warm and head out to watch the stunning displays.

There is plenty to choose from in and around Bolton, so you don’t have to travel far to enjoy tonight’s festivities.

Guy Fawkes Night at the Spread Eagle Bolton

The Spread Eagle will be celebrating bonfire night with its community event.

The event starts at 6pm with a 'Best Guy' competition at 6.30pm.

The competition can be entered as a family or as individuals and there is a prize for the best-looking 'Guy'.

The fireworks will start at 7pm along with complimentary hot dogs, treacle toffee and lots more.

Everybody is welcome, and this event is completely free to attend.

Hewlett Court Firework Display

The Hewlett Court annual fireworks display is happening tonight at 6.30pm. The event will finish at 8pm.

Homemade food will be available throughout the night including potato pie and peas, parkin and treacle toffee. Mulled wine and sweet treats such as toffee apples will also be on offer.

This is a free event, but any donations will be appreciated.

Buile Hill Park Bonfire Night & Little Sparks in the Park

A Bonfire Night display will be taking place in nearby Salford in Buile Hill Park.

However, before the main event there is a smaller and quieter version for little ears starting at 5.30pm. This is strictly for children younger than seven and their families.

The main bonfire will then be lit at 7pm and the fireworks will start at 7.30pm.

The event is free to attend and there will be a full funfair and a range of different food.

Heaton Park, Prestwich

Heaton Park is once again hosting a spectacular bonfire and fireworks display.

The bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm, followed by fireworks.

People attending are being urged not to bring their own fireworks, sparklers or alcohol.

As well as a magical display, there will be a funfair and a variety of food and drink stalls.
