MOUSE the rescue dog met young people who help animals like him.
The dog, representing the RSPCA,visited Bolton School to thank youngsters for support him and other animals like him through a charity fun run
Bolton School junior boys' annual fun run raised £8,160 and was been split between four charities — Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Make A Wish UK and RSPCA.
Each house donated £2,040 to the charity of their choice.
The cheques were donated at a special assembly at which representatives from some of the charities spoke.
They spoke about the work that they do and how the money the boys raised will be spent.
The most popular guest was Mouse the rescue dog, who represented the RSPCA with Julie Ashcroft.
A spokesman for Bolton School said: "At the end of assembly, cheques were presented by the Charity Representatives from each House, each giving the cheque to his House’s chosen charity."
The run is held at the end of the academic year
