IT is time for youngsters to get creative for the festive season.
We have launched our Design a Christmas Card competition for children to come up with their festive creations.
Last year, scores of youngsters sent in their excellent designs of everything from snowmen to Christmas trees and presents.
We will feature the finalists in our special supplement on November 21 and readers can vote for their favourite design.
The Bolton News editor Karl Holbrook said: “Every year youngsters get busy drawing their favourite Christmas scenes and this competition gives them a chance to have those designs turned into a proper Christmas card for them to send to their family and friends.
“And of course Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without chocolate – so our winners will also get a tasty treat thanks to our sponsors."
The winner from each category, aged four to seven and eight to 11 will have their designs printed on cards by Impression (Bolton) Ltd for them to send out to their family and friends, making them an extra special gift for Christmas.
There will also be chocolate Santas courtesy of Slattery, of Whitefield and family passes for Bolton Winter Wonderland from Bolton Council.
To enter, all you need to do is draw a design for the front of your card in the template, which you can download and print off using the link below.
Your card can be made using paints, coloured pencils, or felt-tip pens. Once you have finished your card, fill in the details on the form and send it to Design a Christmas Card, c/o The Bolton News, The Wellsprings, Civic Centre, Bolton, BL1 1AR, by November 15.
