AN evening of wonderful orchestral music will be performed at the historic Victoria Hall as Bolton Symphony Orchestra returns to stages its Autumn Prom.
The concert features Sibelius' violin concerto, Helen Brackley-Jones, who led the orchestra for many years, will return as a soloist.
She now leads the Stockport Symphony Orchestra and used to play in the BBC Philarmonic.
The concert will start with Mendelssohn's famous Hebrides Overture and after the interval there will be a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 2.
A spokesman said: "The concert will provide music spanning 100 years — a concert of beautiful melodies, virtuosity and contrasts.
"Bolton Symphony Orchestra welcomes all audience members, old and new, so why not come and support your local orchestra."
The concert starts at 7.30pm on Saturday. Tickets are £12 and those under-19 get in free of charge.
