THE ALBERT Halls were awash with retro colour and packed with eagle eyed bargain hunters as an award-winning vintage fair rolled into town.

More than 40 stalls from the UK’s best vintage traders set up shop at the Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair on Saturday offering a treasure trove of chic fashion, accessories, homeware, and collectables from every era.

Items from the 1940s through to 80s were up for grabs while shoppers could enjoy entertainment from a vintage-inspired live act and a well earned cuppa at a traditional tea room.

Lou Lou Glover, the event’s creator, said: “I think vintage has become so popular lately as we’ve all become more aware of the impact that buying new, fast fashion has on the environment and our wallets.

“Buying vintage is not only an affordable and environmentally conscious way to shop; you can also find something unique and fashionable from our specialist traders.”

Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair has been travelling the length and breadth of the country for over nine years, taking in more than a 100 events at more than 40 locations a year.

In the last three year’s running it has been named the best Vintage Fair in the UK.
