A ‘PHYSIO to the stars’ is hoping to bring his celebrity clients to Farnworth as he plans to open a new practice.

Tinashe Dangarembizi, better known as Nash, who regularly treats the stars from the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, is hoping to move to the new spot in Bolton Road in February.

He has also looked after actress Gemma Atkinson and chef Simon Rimmer as well as TV presenter Karim Zeroual, actor Kelvin Fletcher and professional dancer Oti Mabuse from the 2019 Strictly series.

The physiotherapist based in Swinton has also treated Manchester’s former WBA lightweight boxing champion Anthony Crolla.

Now, he hopes his celebrity clientele will come to Farnworth where he thinks there is a gap in the market.

He said: "I really like it out there. There’s nothing around that area that’s got a good standard. It's not in Bolton, it’s just on the edge so it’s a good location."

But Nash, who is qualified in physiotherapy, sports therapy and acupuncture, is not just offering his services to the stars.

He added: “It’s not just the Strictly lot, it’s the elderly too. Some of those patients that have musculoskeletal problems. It’s a good catchment area to deliver physio.

"My perfect patient is 45 and above with musculoskeletal problems and goals of wanting to get back their social lives with their grandkids. I want to actually help people achieve their normal daily activities."

Having previously worked in Bury and Failsworth, he has been renting a practice in Manchester – but now he has purchased his own the property in Farnworth.

A planning application has been submitted to change the use of the former Marie’s Hair and Beauty Salon in Bolton Road.

The building has been empty since the salon shut on October 4. If approved, the physiotherapy practice will create three jobs – one full time and two part time.

Town hall planners are due to decide next month.
