ANOTHER glazing firm in the borough is facing a troubled future, it has emerged.

A creditors meeting has been called for Farnworth-based Premier Conservatory and Glazing Supplies Ltd, which is set to take place today.

Director James Sheffield has called in insolvency firm Stuart Rathmell, of Egyptian Street, Bolton, to handle the matter.

Creditors will be asked to consider whether a liquidator should be appointed for the outfit, based at the Bankfield Works in Emlyn Street, which was only incorporated last February.

Mr Sheffield was formerly a director of K2 Conservatory Systems, which operated from the same premises, between 2004 and August 2016.

The current proceedings for Premier will present a statement of affairs for the company, including any potential disbursements for creditors.

Last week The Bolton News reported on the difficulties encountered by Horwich-based Grosvenor Windows.

Recovery experts were called in from Cowgill's after the firm, which had been going for more than 40 years, experienced trading problems. But a rescue deal was agreed with an unnamed buyer, which resulted in six jobs being saved.
