RESIDENTS should be aware of changes to the dates of bin collections over the festive period.
People who live in streets where the bins would normally be taken away around Christmas Day or New Years Day should expect a switch.
Christmas collections meant to take place on December 25 will be moved to December 27, those on December 26 will be moved to December 28 and hose on December 27 will be moved to December 29.
At the start of the New Year, collections on January 1 will be moved back by one day, as will those on January 2 and January 3.
Bolton Council is also asking residents to try and reduce the amount of waste generated at Christmas, especially unused food.
