A TOWN centre shopping centre is getting in on the Christmas celebrations by offering a range of events for families.
As the boys and girls of Bolton have been so good this year, Crompton Place will be offering visitors the chance to see top films for free, as well as throwing a special Christmas party complete with magic shows.
The much-loved cinema Festive Flicks is returning this Saturday, December 7 and will be screening family crackers including Elf, The Grinch, Toy Story 4 and this year’s Lion King.
There will be two showings of different films at 11am and 2pm every Saturday – with the exception of December 21 - until January 4 in the Winter Festival Family Zone, which can be found in the former BHS unit.
Doors open for the films 30 minutes beforehand and seats will be available on a first come, first served basis.
But, the festive fun does not stop there, with free entertainment continuing on Saturday, December 21, at the Crompton Place Christmas party.
Little ones are invited to dance, play games, win prizes and enjoy magic shows from the popular Magic Mark Daniel at the Winter Festival Family Zone for 45 minutes of seasonal cheer at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.
Paula Wood, centre manager at Crompton Place Shopping Centre, said: “We’ve picked our favourite Christmas movies and big releases from this year for Festive Flicks, and we’re sure it will bring even more excitement to families when they’re out getting their gifts and preparations ready for 25 December.
“We’re also really pleased to be welcoming Magic Mark Daniel back to the centre following his last appearance at half-term and it’s a brilliant chance to have additional family fun.
“Party guests are most definitely encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers."
