A VEHICLE that was stolen during a burglary in the middle of the day has been recovered after a police appeal.

The blue Ford EcoSport ST-Line was taken during a burglary in Roscow Avenue, Breightmet, at about 1pm yesterday.

It was later involved in a crash in Longsight Lane, Harwood, which resulted in the bumper falling off.

Officers shared the vehicle registration and called on members of the public to help trace it.

This morning an "eagle-eyed" passerby has located the car in Longsight Lane, Harwood, where it had been abandoned.

The car has been taken for forensic examination.

Greater Manchester Police's Bolton North team tweeted: "Following our appeal yesterday in relation to a car stolen in a burglary in Roscow Avenue, Breightmet, an eagle-eyed member of the public spotted the car abandoned in Longsight Lane, Harwood.

"The Harwood Neighbourhood Team have attended the scene and recovered the vehicle to be examined by our forensic officers."
