James Carr has been sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court
A MAN has been given a community order after assaulting a policeman.
James Carr, of Water Street, Atherton assaulted the officer in Leigh on August 24.
The 58-year-old must complete a rehabilitation course, handed a £50 fine and told to pay £50 in compensation, a £90 victim services surcharge fee and £85 in court costs.
He was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court.
