POLICE and paramedics are dealing with an incident outside a mosque on Blackburn Road.
Witnesses reported seeing two ambulances and a large police presence close to the junction with Draycott Street.
Part of the road was closed off and traffic in the area is moving very slowly.
A witness told the Bolton News: "There are loads of police, I can see lots of blue flashing lights and I've just seen two ambulances drive off.
"At the moment cars are not moving and its stacked up. The traffic is static."
The incident is thought to have happened sometime around 7.45pm.
Police closed a section of the road until just after 8.20pm but have begun to allow cars through.
However, a police car and an ambulance remain at the scene.
