A CHRISTMAS Fair at the Memorial Hall has helped to raise funds to send Oswestry Scouts on a trip of a lifetime next summer.
The Scouts are raising funds for a week-long trip to Norway and the fair was the latest in a series of fundraisers for the Scandinavian adventure.
Scout leader Louise Ridgers said: "At the end of July, 27 Scouts and Explorers will be going to Norway for outdoor adventures, like canoeing and mountain climbing.
"The fundraising target is about £5,000 to bring some of the costs down and we are about a third of the way there with some more events to come.
"We have already done a bike ride from Oswestry to Norway, on exercise bikes, which we had set up in Red Square last June. That was fantastic thanks to members of the public helping us out."
Saturday's Christmas Fair featured a range of craft stalls and free teas and coffees!
