North West Motorway Police have shared Christmas helplines for those in crisis.
The force has taken multiple calls today with reports of people stood on bridges with members of the public concerned for their safety.
In a tweet posted just before 5.30pm, they said: "We have attended and assisted those that needed our help.
"If you are struggling this Christmas time, then remember there is help out there #ItsOKNotToBeOK."
The post was shared alongside a photo that outlined helplines for those in crisis this Christmas.
It included numbers for Alcoholics Anonymous, Age UK, Rape Crisis, and Childline.
