A SHOP has been fined £100 plus £1,280 in costs and charges for selling illegally packaged cigarettes.
At Bolton Magistrates’ Court M&M Mini Market, of Halliwell Road, Bolton, was found guilty of committing the offences following a trial.
The court heard that, on March 27, three packets of Mayfair cigarettes were found to not carry the regulatory health warning as well as one packet of Compliment cigarettes, two packets of Regal cigarettes, four packets of Pect cigarettes, two packet of Marlboro cigarettes, five packets of Richmond cigarettes and six pouches of Amber Leaf tobacco.
The products were also not the permitted colour.
