ADMINISTRATORS have been called in to wind up a company operating out of a troubled venue in Bolton.
Last month customers voiced concerns about outstanding bookings at The One, in Chorley Road, Westhoughton.
Formerly known as The Brinsop, a bride-to-be and a Christmas party organiser each told the Bolton News of difficulties with contacting anyone at the premises.
When one concerned customer turned up at the location, the signage had been taken down and the restaurant appeared to be closed.
Now an official notice has been published by the London Gazette detailing how the Rivington View Hotel and Inn Ltd, giving a principal trading address at 584-592 Chorley Road, the same address as The One, is being voluntarily wound up.
Administrators Martin Maloney and Anthony Milnes, of Whitefield-based insolvency experts Leonard Curtis, will be responsible for liquidating the firm, under the instruction of director Paul Young.
One of the only clues as to the venue’s future might lie in a recorded message, left for customers, which pledges that the site will reopen in early 2020 as a boutique hotel and wine bar after renovations have taken place.
