FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house last night after a tumble dryer caught fire.
Two crews, from Bacup, were called to the home on Rockcliffe Road shortly after 6pm.
A fire services spokesman said: "The fire involved a tumble dryer in the conservatory of the property.
"Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel and ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
"Firefighters were in attendance approximately fifty minutes and there were no casualties reported."
Lancashire fire service recently revealed that in a 24-hour period — from December 9 to 10 — firefighters attended three separate incidents involving domestic tumble dryers.
