At Bolton Crown Court 41-year-old Marland, of Charleston Court, Tyldesley, was jailed for 27 months for what Judge Graeme Smith described as a “nasty, sustained assault”.
Paul Strickleton bombarded his partner with threatening text messages and emails and assaulted her.
At Bolton Crown Court Strickleton, aged 49, of no fixed abode, was jailed for 35 months after Recorder Ian Unsworth told him he posed “a very real threat” to his victim’s life.
Partially sighted car thief Jason Gallagher was sentenced to 18 months in prison after he led police on a high speed chase.
Gallagher, aged 44, of Withins Drive, Bolton, admitted a string of offences, including dangerous driving, when he appeared at Bolton Crown Court.
Amadine Webster is a persistent shoplifter who was jailed by Bolton magistrates for 38 weeks.
Webster, of Century Lodge, Farnworth, had also breached a criminal behaviour order six times.
Pervert Damen Scott was sentenced to 21 years in prison after he was found guilty of 17 counts of child sexual offences.
Manchester Crown Court heard how Scott, of Ashawe Terrace, Little Hulton had encouraged another man to abuse a child and send him the indecent images.
David Gidman was jailed for six months after he was caught carrying a knife in Bolton Market Place.
Bolton Crown Court heard how it was the fourth time that Gidman, aged 39, of no fixed address, had been caught illegally possessing a knife in a public place. He told the court he carried it for protection.
Alex Crossman was given a three year prison sentence after Bolton Crown Court heard how he repeatedly harassed and assaulted his ex-partner.
Crossman, aged 39, of Radcliffe Road, Bolton, punched his victim in the face and kicked her after sending her a series of abusive messages and leaving threatening voicemails.
