RHYL residents still have time to make their voices heard on how to tackle anti-social behaviour in the town centre.

Denbighshire County Council's consultation on a second Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is open until Sunday, January 19.

This second order follows a successful three year order in town and will be coordianted by the council's Planning and Public Protection and North Wales Police " as a result of an increased incidence of anti-social behaviour".

The one-month consultation - which began on December 13 - will allow members of the public and business owners to share their views on whether to place stricter controls on the consumption of alcohol, loitering under the influence of substances and begging in the designated restriction area within the town.

The town centre's restriction area covers the promenade from Aquarium Street to Alexander Road, and as far inland as Elwy Street

The order would prohibit such activities from taking place and enable fixed penalty notices to be issued.
