SPECSAVERS in Bolton and Middlebrook donated 26.12kg of food to a local foodbank.
The team collected long-life items, such as tinned fruit and veg, rice and pasta sauces for he Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank.
Kevin Juste, manager at the branch, said the store wanted to do their bit to help the "fantastic job" done by the local foodbank.
John Bradbury, project manager at the foodbank, said: ‘Foodbank use is on the rise in the UK so we need help more than ever.
"As a result of the donations, we can provide extra support and wrap-around services to the increasing amounts of people being referred to us for help.
"Thanks to the generosity from Specsavers in Bolton and Middlebrook, we hope to be able to help more local people in real need."
