A TEENAGER from Bolton was caught driving a Vauxhall Astra on Chorley New Road without licence or insurance and using false registration plates.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was only aged 16 when he committed the offences on September 28 last year.

At Wigan Youth Court the boy pleaded guilty and was referred to the Bolton Youth Offender panel for five months, his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

He was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £21 victim surcharge.
