A MAN was arrested last night after police were called to reports of someone underneath a van.
At around 11.48pm last night, officers in Breightmet received reports that a man was tampering with a vehicle.
Officers arrived "within minutes" and detained a 32-year-old man in Chronnell Drive in Breightmet.
He has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and vehicle interference.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
A Facebook post from GMP Bolton North read: "A 32-year-old male has been arrested in #Breightmet following reports of someone tampering with a vehicle.
On Tuesday 7th January 2020 at 11:48pm, officers responded to reports of a male underneath a van on Chronnell Drive, Breightmet.
Officer’s arrived on scene within minutes and detained a male. As a result, a 32-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and vehicle interference."
