AN 18-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly carrying a knife through Bolton town centre.
William Thornhill, of St Georges Road, Bolton, has been charged for possessing a bladed article after allegedly being found in Bolton town centre with a knife by officers yesterday evening.
He is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates Court on 28/01/2020
GMP Bolton Central said in a Facebook post that it was part of a "proactive operation."
The post read: "William Thornhill 27/11/2001, of St Georges Road, Bolton has been charged for possessing a bladed article after being found in Bolton town centre with a knife by officers on a proactive operation yesterday evening.
"He is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates Court on 28/01/2020."
