MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to do 80 hours of unpaid work after he was found guilty of drink driving.
During a trial at Bolton Magistrates’ Court the prosecution told how Majid Altaf, aged 41, of Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, had drunk more than one and a half times the legal alcohol limit when he drove a Vauxhall Astra at Broadway, Farnworth, on August 23 last year.
In addition to the unpaid work Altaf was banned from holding a driving licence for 45 months, must participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £740 in costs and charges.
