THE Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport paid a visit to Bolton Museum yesterday.
Baroness Nicky Morgan, who recently joined the House of Lords, was given a tour around the facility and its exhibitions.
The former MP tweeted: “Wonderful to visit @BoltonLMS this afternoon - they have an amazing collection of national & local treasures.
“It is vital that we support our local museums & libraries up & down the county they offer such a sense of place & civic pride bringing local communities together.”
Mark Logan, the MP for Bolton North East, joined the Secretary at tge museum, alongside council leader David Greenhalgh.
Baroness Morgan was touring Greater Manchester and visited other centres across the day.
She caused controversy following December's General Election, where she stepped down as an MP for Loughborough, but was moved to the House of Lords and thus able to continue as a cabinet minister.
