A BOLTON charity which helps people through art has received a £1,000 boost.

CreateBolton has been handed the cash by staff at Amazon's fulfilment centre at Logistics North in Over Hulton.

Bosses at the charity say the money will help to support their work, which includes helping people form relationships to promote positive physical and emotional wellbeing.

Joy Kilpatrick, lead artist and founder of CreateBolton said: “This donation is very much appreciated from the Amazon team in Bolton.

"We consider those who donate to be our heroes and we cannot thank the team enough as they help to enhance our range of projects.”

Paul Ashraf, Amazon Bolton general manager, said: “We are proud to make a donation to a charity with such a wholesome and caring mission, reaching people across the community and of all ages.

"CreateBolton uses a range of creative methods to inspire and connect with people, something that our team truly admires.”

The donation forms part of the ‘Amazon in the Community’ programme whereby the company supports the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
