PLANS to build nine new houses at a former pub car park in Westhoughton have passed through the town council with no objections.
The two-storey dwellings could be build at the Windmill pub's site in Chorley Road, if Bolton Council planners approve the application.
Developer Oaktree already has permission to build eight houses.
The site in Chorley Road, which is owned by Oaktree, is within close proximity of existing residential dwellings.
The Windmill, which is permanently closed, was bought by Platinum Projects Europe in June 2012, according to whatpub.com.
Town hall planners are due to make a decision on the latest application by February.
