IN one devastating week Raynor Winn and her husband Moth lost their home as they faced a terminal diagnosis.

With nowhere else to go, the decided to walk the South West Coast Path, from Somerset to Dorset, via Devon and Cornwall.

And this month Raynor will be at Bolton School to speak about how she came to walk the path and write the book, The Salt Path, as part of the free public arts and sciences enrichment evenings.

She will talk about their remarkable journey, which spans not only the entire South West Coast Path but also an emotional journey of redemption in which she discovered the healing powers found in nature and the simple act of walking forward.

‘The Salt Path’ became a Sunday Times bestseller and an international bestseller.

The event, open to everyone, will take place in the girls’ division on January 27 at 7.00pm. Refreshments will be available beforehand.
