POLICE and paramedics were called after a woman was hit by a car outside a Coop in Horwich.
The incident happened at around 5.55pm outside the store in Chorley New Road.
Witnesses said they saw the woman lying in the road close to the nearby crossing.
But, she is not thought to have been seriously injured.
A spokesman for the police told the Bolton News that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke to officers after the crash.
She added: "We were called at 17.55pm to Chorley New Road to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car.
"The pedestrian is believed to be a woman and according to the logs there are no reported serious injuries."
