Bury Old Road, Prestwich, is closed
A KEY road in Prestwich has been closed after a serious collision.
At around 4.45pm there was a crash on Bury Old Road close to the junction with Nursery Road near the Coach and Horses pub
The collision involved a motorcycle and a car.
A spokesman from the police confirmed that the incident had taken place but said nobody had been seriously injured.
In a statement on Twitter, Transport for Greater Manchester asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.
They said: "Bury Old Road is closed at the junction of Nursey Road (Prestwich) due to a road traffic collision.
"Please use an alternative route."
