BOLTON West MP Chris Green urging the town's military veterans to take part in the commemorations for the 75th anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day.
The Royal British Legion will be pay for travel, food and accommodation for Second World War veterans and a companion to attend the events on the Bank Holiday weekend of May 8 to 10 and August 15.
He said: “As we approach the 75th Anniversary, I’m encouraging local veterans to register on the legion website so that they don’t miss out on this important event.”
Registration closes for VE Day veterans on February 17 and for VJ Day veterans on March 31.
